The Ownership Initiative is a nationally recognized, black-owned impact advisory firm headquartered in Detroit, Michigan that advises on housing and small business strategies to create opportunities for underserved populations and economically challenged communities. In 2006, we began creating sustainable impact by offering our core service model of designing housing programs and strategies for communities in the state of Michigan. Then, in 2010, we began to expand our housing services to other states. As of 2023, we proudly help to create impact in communities across 6 states and have adding small business focused program design and community benefit planning to our service model.
